Lia was born and raised in Virginia Beach and is a second-generation Tidewater native. Lia graduated from Tallwood High School in 2004 and furthered her education following at Tidewater Community College. While enrolled at TCC full time, Lia also worked a full-time job as a receptionist for a local real estate law firm. She discovered her interest in the law at this job and focused her education on the legal field, obtaining an Associates of Applied Sciences degree with a concentration in Paralegal Studies in 2008.

Following her receptionist position and while still in school Lia began working as a legal assistant/paralegal for a prominent Norfolk family law attorney. It was in this employment that she gained an understanding of the local courts, legal procedures, and the day-to-day skills necessary to handle the delicate subject of Family Law as well as other complex legal matters.

In August 2012, Kellam hired Lia as his paralegal for what was then his solo firm that eventually became Parks Zeigler, PLLC. After nearly a decade as Kellam’s paralegal, Lia took a brief hiatus from the legal field; however, returned home to Parks Zeigler in November 2023. She is excited to assist Parks Zeigler’s clients once again through the more challenging times in their lives and businesses with Kellam’s focus on high-asset divorces and Cybersecurity/Data Privacy.

Outside of work Lia enjoys spending time with her husband, teenaged son, and two dogs.
