Brandi was born and raised in South Mills, North Carolina. During her time at Camden County High School, Brandi attended North Carolina Governor’s School, a summer residential program for gifted high school students. She fell in love with learning in this environment, and went on to attend Wake Forest University, where she graduated summa cum laude with a communication degree with honors, and a writing minor. She had the opportunity to study abroad, living in Venice, Italy for a semester. While at Wake Forest, Brandi discovered her interest in the law through a joint course with the law school.

Throughout college, Brandi held a variety of jobs including tutoring student athletes and working in a call center. After graduating, Brandi completed a year of law school at Texas Law. Over the following summer, she worked as a summer associate at a large law firm and as a judicial intern for the court, before deciding to return to North Carolina to be closer to family.

Outside of work, Brandi enjoys spending time with her family and friends, including her cat, Paris. She also loves trying out local restaurants, exploring new cities, and just generally gaining new experiences.
