Amy was born and raised in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, outside of Pittsburgh. She is a graduate of Quaker Valley High School. Amy graduated from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with a dual Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice in May 1997. Three weeks after graduating, she attended Duquesne University ABA Approved Paralegal Institute intensive summer program to earn her Paralegal Certificate in three months. Amy has been working in the legal field since she worked at her neighbor’s law firm in high school. Hired right out of school at a small law firm learning the ins and outs of operations, she assisted in commercial landlord-tenant law, creditors rights work, real estate, bankruptcy, corporate law, estate and trust planning and estate administration.

Amy found her passion as an Elder Law Paralegal when she began working on Medicaid, Veterans Benefits, long-term care planning, estate planning, and estate and trust administration. Prior to joining Parks Zeigler, Amy spent three years working with Shannon Laymon-Pecoraro at another Tidewater law firm.

Amy works remotely from the Sunshine State of Florida where her family moved three years ago. Amy lives with her husband, Tom, and son, Mason. She loves spending time with her family going to the beach, vacationing on cruises, and going to Disney World. She may live in Florida, but Amy remains a part of Steeler Nation!
