Sonia M. Carey brings more than 38 years of paralegal experience to Parks Zeigler, PLLC, where she focuses on Estate Planning and Elder Law. A proud lifelong resident of Virginia Beach, Sonia graduated from Bayside High School in 1984 and went on to earn her Associate of Applied Science in Office Systems Management, specializing in Legal Office Management, from Tidewater Community College—all while working full-time, first for an insurance company and later for a real estate attorney in Chesapeake.
A firm believer in lifelong learning, Sonia has pursued additional studies in accounting, economics, and general education, as well as ongoing seminars to maintain her Title Insurance License. She focuses her work on Estate Planning and Elder Law because she finds deep fulfillment in helping families navigate the complexities of planning and administration during life’s critical transitions.
Outside the office, Sonia enjoys reading, swimming, relaxing on the beach, and spending time with her husband, adult children, and their two beloved Standard Poodles.
