Parks Zeigler, PLLC and The Law Office of Shelly F. Wood, P.C. are pleased to announce our merger effective January 1, 2020. The merger adds a Chesapeake location to Parks Zeigler and likewise gives Shelly F. Wood a Virginia Beach office from which to serve her clients. Shelly will be the Managing Partner of the new Chesapeake office, located near the court complex. This merger benefits the clients of both firms. Parks Zeigler obtains the expertise of Shelly, a seasoned and respected family law and criminal practitioner. Shelly Wood’s clients now have access to the resources and practice areas of Parks Zeigler, including civil litigation, commercial transactions, personal injury/medical malpractice, consumer/credit representation, and wills, trusts and estates. With the addition of Shelly, and her staff, Parks Zeigler will now have 9 attorneys and 13 staff in two cities.
“I’ve known Shelly for a long time, and when I learned she was looking to expand her practice, both geographically and in scope, I knew there was a tremendous opportunity for both of our firms. We knew that Shelly would give Parks Zeigler a strong and respected presence in Chesapeake. Shelly’s years of experience and stellar reputation in the areas of family and criminal law were too great of an opportunity to pass up.” Brandon H. Zeigler
“I have litigated numerous cases against Shelly and from experience, it is clear she has earned her excellent reputation. This endeavor presented an exciting opportunity for both of our firms to grow and better serve our clients.” Kellam T. Parks
“Merging with Parks Zeigler is exciting because they bring a strong Virginia Beach presence and additional resources for my practice. Their excellent reputation, particularly with family law cases, made the merger enticing. My personal and professional roots in Chesapeake allow for their desired expansion. With my addition, the firm can now offer criminal defense to its roster of services. This is one of those situations where 1+1=3. I look forward to the growth I expect with the synergy of our two teams.” Shelly F. Wood
