Friday Free Movie Family Night - Friday, July 19th; 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Enjoy a free screening of the movie Ferdinand at The Great Neck Recreation Center in Virginia Beach. There will also be games, crafts, and free popcorn; a perfect outing for the family.
Eric Carle: Moonlit Nights & Other Illustrations – Friday, July 19th
A wonderful exhibit on display right now at the Chrysler Museum. Eric Carle is a famous illustrator and author of children’s books whose images are renown for “soulful representations of insects, animals, and fables, the artist traditionally illustrates daytime scenes by depicting figures against white backgrounds.” Admission is free.
Norfolk Coffee - Saturday, July 20th; 7:05 PM
The Norfolk Tides will celebrate the Hampton Roads community's growing reputation as the “East Coast Capital of Coffee.” The Tides will change their name to Norfolk Coffee and sport special uniforms that you can vote for on via social media on the day of the game.
Shark Day – Saturday, July 20th; 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The Nauticus will celebrate sharks with a day devoted to education and crafts about the mythic predators. Carpet sharks will also be on hand for viewers to see up close. It’s a great event for kids and adults to learn more about sharks and have fun while doing so.
The Screwtape Letters – Sunday, July 21st; 4:00 PM
Take in some theater with a production of CS Lewis’s famous book The Screwtape Letters at the beautiful Harrison Opera House in Norfolk.
