Honoring Our Community’s Heroes, One Month at a Time

At Parks Zeigler, PLLC, we believe in celebrating the everyday heroes whose work keeps our communities safe. That belief is the foundation of PZ River City Heroes; a six-month initiative created in partnership with The Daily Advance and local businesses to recognize outstanding first responders across Northeastern North Carolina.
Each month, PZ River City Heroes honors one dedicated first responder whose commitment to service truly makes a difference. We are proud to introduce our inaugural honoree, whose story perfectly reflects the heart of this program.
Kayleigh Webb, a communications officer with the Pasquotank-Camden 911 Communications Center, has been named the first recipient of the PZ River City Heroes Award. In her essential role, Kayleigh answers emergency calls, coordinates critical responses, and serves as a calm, steady voice during moments of crisis. She carries out these responsibilities with professionalism and compassion, exemplifying the highest standards of public safety.
Webb, 22, is a 2021 graduate of the Northeast Academy for Aerospace and Advanced Technologies and has worked at the communications center for nearly three years. She was selected for the award after receiving the highest number of nominations for the month of December. Andrew T. Shilling, Managing Partner of our Elizabeth City office, presented Webb with a certificate of recognition and a gift valued at more than $250. The gift included certificates to Cypress Creek Grill and Revitalize Fitness, both Elizabeth City businesses, along with Parks Zeigler merchandise.
PZ River City Heroes is more than an award; it is a celebration of service and community connection. We are honored to help shine a spotlight on these local heroes and look forward to introducing more remarkable individuals in the months ahead.
