4th of July Events and Information

Posted on Jul 02, 2019

Independence Day is tomorrow and there are many celebrations happening throughout the region. Below, we provide some helpful information and a list of events happening all weekend.

4th of July Fireworks

First, if you decide to stay at home and shoot off your own fireworks, be sure you know what the fireworks laws are in your city. In Virginia Beach, it’s illegal to shoot off fireworks...yes, even sparklers. So no matter what you decide to do, know what you’re getting into before you celebrate.

Second, if you’re headed down to the Oceanfront be sure to check the traffic before you head out. There will be re-routes on I-264 eastbound beginning at 8 pm on Thursday, July 4th.
