Originally from Michigan, Kelli’s decision to leave the beauty of living on Lake Huron was based solely on her dislike of the mountains of “Lake Effect Snow” that accumulated during the winter months. Virginia Beach, with its milder winters, hot summers, sun, and sand seemed like a perfect fit, so Kelli decided to relocate in 1987.
With little legal experience, she was hired by a small firm in 1988 as the sole member of the “typing pool” for three attorneys. Shortly thereafter, one of the attorneys noted Kelli’s attention to detail, ability to successfully work independently under extreme pressure, and her dedication to seeing projects through to completion. Kelli was invited to work exclusively for that attorney as a legal assistant, working primarily in the area of family law and also Circuit Court collections.
Kelli comes to Parks Zeigler with over 28 years of experience as a paralegal specializing in family law and civil litigation cases. She finds the opportunity to learn different areas of law exciting and is dedicated to a case from inception to conclusion.
Kelli loves to travel and while visiting new areas, she is always up for trying local delicacies (honey, olive oil, and wine). She also enjoys historical tours and nature walks. Kelli likes to cook and entertain and enjoys trying new recipes and pairing wines/beverages to suit.
When not in the office, weather permitting, you will find Kelli enjoying the early morning sun on the beach, with toes in the sand, waves crashing, gulls laughing, and dolphins playing. In the cooler months, Kelli enjoys playing cards, dominoes or board games with her many friends, and watching college sports, especially Michigan football games. GO BLUE!
