April was born in Statesville, North Carolina but considers herself a West Virginia native, having lived there throughout her teenage years. From middle school through college, April was a part of the band program where she played the trumpet and the French horn. It wasn’t until halfway through high school that her father’s job as a pastor brought her family to Virginia Beach. After graduating from Tallwood High School in 2014, April attended Old Dominion University and graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a minor in Philosophy.
After graduating ODU, April worked as an administrator for a life insurance company in Chesapeake for a year. This is where she was able to learn skills that would help her succeed in an administrative roll. April began as Park Zeigler’s front desk coordinator and after a few months was offered a position as a paralegal with the firm. Since she has always been interested in law, a position with Parks Zeigler is a great fit as she moves along in her career.
Outside of work, April enjoys going to metal concerts, playing bass guitar and singing with her church’s band, spending time with family and friends, and attempting to tame a black cat named Jet who lives with her.
