Mikayla N. Zummo | Family Law, Domestic Violence
Mikayla was born in Binghamton, New York, and lived there until the age of 10, when her family relocated to Charlotte, North Carolina. She attended North Carolina State University earning dual bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Sociology, along with a minor in Business Administration and graduated Summa Cum Laude. While at NC State, she was an active member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority.
After graduating, Mikayla pursued her lifelong goal of becoming an attorney by enrolling at the University of North Carolina School of Law. During law school, she served as Social Chair for Women in Law and as Programming Coordinator for Law Students Against Sexual and Domestic Violence. In her final year, Mikayla gained invaluable hands-on experience through the UNC Youth Justice Clinic and the UNC Domestic Violence Clinic, where her passion for advocacy and helping others grew even stronger.
Motivated by that passion and her enthusiasm for the practice of law, Mikayla accepted the opportunity to join the Parks Zeigler team. She is excited to further develop her skills and serve clients in Virginia from the firm’s Virginia Beach office.
