Watch Out For Fraudulent Equifax Websites

Posted on Sep 25, 2017

In the wake of the Equifax data breach, which compromised the personal information of over 140 million Americans, people have been looking for reliable information about what happened and what they can do to protect themselves.  Equifax established a website to specifically address these questions; however, there have been over 1000 fake websites launched with web addresses very similar to the authentic Equifax website.  Equifax even linked one of the fake websites to their Twitter account several times on September 20.

The real website’s address is www.EquifaxSecurity2017.com.  The addresses of the fraudulent websites include such variations as equifactssecurity2017.comequifaxsecuridy2017.com, or equifaxsecurity2017com.com. Be sure to only visit the authentic website.

As always, we’ll continue to update you on new information about the Equifax breach. If you have any questions please contact us
